Tombstone

My parents came to town this weekend.  We spent our Saturday checking out Tombstone.  Our favorite parts were the horse drawn carriage ride, and the shooting range.  It really is neat to see actual parts of history!

Zoo in the rain

I planned a fun day for us!  Head to the zoo:)  One thing, it was pooring rain by the time we got there.  So it was cold, and deserted but all the cats were up and moving so that was fun!

Birdfeeders

The kids and I made some birdfeeders to hang in the backyard!  We were able to attract some cardinals and a ton of quail:)

sick kids

Hazel was sick by the time we got home from Thanksgiving.  Poor thing had a fever for a few days and just slept!  Then I got a call from the school.  The first thing they said was "we already called the ambulance!"  Gracin had a seizure at school.  I was already on my way to the school so I was there quick.  He was still on the ground not responding or moving.  The paramedics were there helping him already.  It was a scary scene.  I had to leave the girls (including a screaming sick Hazel) with the assistant principle and my car keys so I could ride in the ambulance with Gracin.  She was taking them to my friends house until Riley could come get them.  It was all crazy and really hard for me to leave them.  Thank goodness another friend saw me running from the school to the ambulance and offered to go get the girls from the office.  At lease I knew who to call and talk to incase there were problems with the girls.  I felt a little better after that.  I was worried about Gracin because it had been almost 2 years since his last febrile seizure, I though he had outgrown them by now! Gracin started talking in the ambulance but mostly slept.  He says he doesn't remember anything until he was already in the ER.  The doctors think it was a febrile seizure and we were released after 5 hours.  I hope that was the last one!! Just waiting for Hazel to have one now:(

Thanksgiving

This year we were able to spend Thanksgiving at my parents house.  Everyone but Lance was there.  We had a huge feast and topped it off with birthday cake:)  Poor Riley sharing his birthday with a  holiday.  No fun. My sisters and I spent some time crafting.  Papa took all the grandkids for a walk, and later in the weekend the boys decided to go night paintballing.  They taped glow sticks all over themselves and headed out into the freezing night!  Too bad the guns wouldn't work once they got out there.
