Botanic Garden

For mothers group today we took a trip into Memphis (it always makes me a little nervous). We had an activity put on by the Memphis Botanic Garden. Rhylan had a lot of fun learning, creating, planting, and being with her friends.

She also LOVED the nature walk we took. It was a bit windy but that didn't seem to bother her she just laughed at the wind.

Just a little bit

I bought this little strawberry planting kit at Target for $1 a couple of weeks ago. It looked like a fun thing to try. They are finally starting to pop out of the soil! I am pretty excited that they actually worked. Rhyaln's favorite food is strawberries, and I am sure in a couple of months she will be excited too.

New Apron

Rhylan has really been into cooking and art projects. She even painted last night. I thought I should protect her cute little clothes and make her an apron. Here it is. She picked out the material, butterflies and flowers. I looked at a couple of patterns to make this pattern, she loves it. I don't know if she will want to take it off all day!

By Request--16 weeks!

I always feel silly posing for these pictures, I mean how many ways can you stand sideways? Anyways, there was a couple of request for these pictures...otherwise I would not have even taken them yet. Oh by the way, all the pics I took with my face turned out blurry? I guess the flash didn't work or something. Anyways, I only wear maternity from waist down, so far lots of my old shirts are still long enough.

Eye for fashion

Today Rhylan decided to do her own hair. She put on this beanie by herself and then added the flower head band. She sported this new hair style for almost 30 min!

Martin Luther King day

Riley had the day off of school so we wanted to do something fun! We had a bunch of ideas but they eventually didn't really work out, so we drove up to the memphis Temple so Rhylan and I could see it. It was beautiful. It was pretty small and it was in the back of a stake center's parking lot!? I am so used to the Mesa temple taking up an entire city block, visitor center included. But it is sure nice to know there is one close to where we live.

After that we decided to go bowling...we found out Wii bowling is much cheaper so we stayed home. Check out the score!!!

The brave one again!

It was park day today. Again, I was the only brave/crazy person who came! Rhylan and I were bundled up pretty warm, she even kept her gloves on (a first, she usually rips them right off).
I guess we can't blame everyone for not coming, here is a puddle that is actually ICE on one of the slides!

Ma-Maw

Rhylan also loved spending time with her Grandma. The way she says her name is really similar to the way she says my name, it was hard to tell who she was talking to sometimes. She really like to play with all of grandmas toys.
