Oh Rhylan...

My mom sent Rhylan a play Nativity set yesterday. I told her the Christmas story with the set and then let her play. She understood that the angel told the shepherd to go see Jesus. She started by having Baby Jesus all alone, and each person had to talk to the angel before they could so see the Baby! Here is what I heard:

Angel: "Do you wana see Baby Jesus?"
Shepherd: "Sure"
Angel: "He over there."
Shepherd: "I'm all done seeing Baby Jesus, I wana go the pet store"
Joseph: "I wana go pet store too"
Shepherd: "Wana go pet store, king?"

What did you do?

Potty training is not going well.

Yes she pee's in the potty... only when I put her there. And I put her there often every 30-40 min. She has only volunteered to go 3 times in the last 5 days!!! We go through wet panties like crazy, I'm talking 5-6 a day!! Every single time she has gone "poo poo" it has been in her panties. She does however go to the bathroom and sit on the potty after she poops? She loves her potty treats and stickers after she goes!

Tell me what you did to make this work for you. I am open to all tricks

I won a dress at our enrichment auction!! A sister in our ward made this winter princess dress for Rhylan! She LOVES it, she thinks she looks just like Cinderella.

I stop the movie, grab her hand and we jog to the froggy potty!
"Yeah! i got to go potty! I go potty i get a chocolate!"

It seems everyone has sick kids. So I haven't blogged in a while but here are some pictures of us lately.

Rhylan and I made this cute little turkey, she loves to make crafts... I wonder where she gets that from?

Gracin played in his exersauser, these smiles were because I was talking to him not because he loves that toy so much.


We went to a neighborhood fall fest, and Rhylan got to meet her first fire truck. It was pretty cool.







AND last but not lease I started potty training Rhylan. This will be day 2, wish me luck. I think she looks so cute in her panties. I just went in her room to get her up for the day and she had already taken the liberty to remove her diaper and put on panties!! I guess she likes them. Rhylan must think they have super powers to do these jumps!

Another day at the ZOO

We made this Zoo one morning, it was so fun to play with. Rhylan had a blast "at the zoo". Its nice to not worry about parking!! J/K

Good news/bad news

Good news:

I only had to buy one size diapers yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bad news:

It isn't because Rhylan is potty trained, it's because my 3 month old and my 2 year old now wear the same size diaper!!

Sometimes I feel like...

Does anybody else get excited about giant bugs and catch them in a jar for their little entomologist?

Before I had Rhylan I would have run screaming from this HUGE bug I caught for her yesterday. But now because she loves bugs I find myself not as afraid. In the last 3 days we have caught two bugs to keep for a little bit in jars! One was a spider! She loves looking at them and showing daddy what we did, when he gets home from school.

We remembered to let him go before he died.

Well I put Gracin in the ExerSaucer for the first time over the weekend it was a big hit!! He can't sit in it for too long, he gets tired. But, he loves being able to stand and see what is going on. I used this thing so much with Rhylan. It has to be my #1 favorite baby gear (besides car seat and crib duh). I am so excited to get to use this more often.

Yes, he is way too young to use it but, Rhylan used it early and she turned out ok :) The funny thing is, Rhylan's legs wouldn't even reach the bottom I guess he is a tall boy.
