another "Oh Rhylan" moment

So we were eating dinner. I was talking to Riley and looked over and Rhylan. She was holding real still and kind of shaking like she was squeezing her whole body. I was a little concerned until she cracked a smile at me (the rest of her body stayed stiff/shaky.) I asked her "are you okay?" She replied "I a-tending a be a plant!" (I'm pretending to be a plant.) We all laughed.

Not afraid of Santa!!

Today we headed to Bass Pro Shops to get our free photo with Santa. When we were in Texas last week, Rhylan met Santa in the mall. She walked right up to him and said "hi my Rhylan!" She sat on his lap and talked to him for 30sec -1min! We were impressed that she wasn't terrified. Of course the price for the pic was outrageous so we just let her chit chat.

But when we found out they give away a free 4x6 photo at Bass Pro we planned our outing all week long. Rhylan was really excited to see him again. As we pulled into the parking lot she was chanting SANTA! SANTA! We had a great time. There was a ton of free stuff to do, and live and stuffed animals to see. And of course, Riley and I secretly love that store and were happy for an excuse to go inside. There was a huge part of the store that was "Santa's Workshop/North Pole." Rhyaln loved it.

Gracin just smiled for the camera, of course! I thought the reindeer in the background was a nice touch!

Met a grizzly bear. Sorry Riley looks a little grumpy! He actually was excited to get his picture with the Big bear...It was his idea. You know Riley, he loves animals!

His 4 month photos

4 months old going on 7

Gracin had his four month check up today. The nurse thought he was 6 months old!
Height: 26.5 inches
Weight: 17 lbs 13 oz
Head Circum: 17 inches
Health: GREAT,
Sleep: AWESOME (10-12 hours a night) i know!
Shots: hated them i mean he was really mad at that nurse
Attitude: He smiled at the Dr from the other side of the room but did not like her looking in his ear, not even the binkie would make him happy with that. Then once she was on the other side of the room again, he was giving her all his best smiles.

We started him on rice cereal, he is getting really good at eating and he loves being part of the party! I think that is what he thought was always going on without him.

He now sucks on his hands all the time. Especially these two fingers. This sure makes him drool a lot.
He also is sitting in the highchair (booster/high chair). He really like that.

The other day I left the room and came back to find him like this! Now this is the only way he wants to do his bouncy seat. Good thing I buckled him in. He is really trying to sit up now. I don't think it will be long before he masters this new trick.

Sweet and Sassy!

Well Rhylan had a special day! I took her to go get her first professional hair cut. She was so excited. I took her to this CUTE place my friend went to. It was called Sweet and Sassy. Inside everything was covered in flowers, butterflies, glitter, and PINK. Hannah Montana music and everything girly!! She loved it right away. She got to sit in a perfect size chair, and watch Nemo during the cut. She held so still. Afterward, she got glitter sprayed in her hair, cupcake scent sprayed in her hair and a pretty sucker! And she got a glitter star on her cheek. She was all business during the cut and all smiles after! I really like it. Well I think her bangs are really short and rather blunt but they will grow out...soon I hope.

Thanksgiving break

Riley had the whole week off for Thanksgiving so, we drove to Dallas to see his family. We had a great time with them. Here is a photo journal of our trip! Just kidding. But you know me, I took too many pictures. I hate looking back and seeing that I didn't get one pic of Riley's dad Mark. Oops!! Sorry, and this one of Markee is the only one I got of her. I did get several of my favorite 2 year old.

Gracin is so photogenic!! Look at that sweet face. He even had a special hair-do for his first Thanksgiving.

Rice Cereal!!

Well Gracin had his first taste of rice cereal the other day. He just stares at our food during meal time and drools for every bite. So he turned 4 months on Sunday and we thought we would give it a whirl. He liked the first few bites (of course nothing actually went down his throat) but soon he just got mad and wanted a bottle!! Here are a few pics of his first bites!!!

P.S. We are having a great time in TX visiting Riley's mom and dad for Thanksgiving. I'll show you some pics of that later! (yes Riley is from Canada, his parents just moved here last summer)

Silly girls

These little girls are so silly. Rhylan got to spend the afternoon with one of her best friends. We went on a little walk and the girls loved playing all over these rocks. Rhyaln was pretty excited to show her all her favorite places.



And then Rhyaln put her to bed, here she is reading the bedtime story.

day 6 and day 7

Potty training is going GREAT!!
Yesterday (day 6) she only had 2 accidents. And both were pee trails to the bathroom. Then last night she woke up to use the potty at about 5 am and woke up later at 7:30ish and still had a dry diaper:)

Today (day 7) NO ACCIDENTS I repeat no accidents. We even went to Target for an hour and she stayed dry and used the potty when we got home. Then...this is the best part... about 10 min after we got home I was feeding Gracin when I hear "I need to go poo poo!" I tell her to go to the bathroom. She said "already did!" Sure enough she had gone poo poo in the Froggy potty ALL BY HERSELF. There was none in her panties none on the floor. This was the best day!!
