Vision Walk

We went on a Vision Walk to raise money for... well I'm not sure. I think eye diseases, maybe blindness, Riley will tell me when he reads this. It was a cold morning but we had a great time! Here are some highlights.

A little bit of today

Well all three of us are home sick with colds today, here is a little bit of what we have been doing: Rhylan loved this special chair I made her with pillows and the Boppy. She sat and "read" books for half an hour!-- I am not a fan of children learning to read before they are ready. I believe it is more important to teach them to love books. Looks like we are on the right track.
We are watching movies to help us relax, Rhylan thougth it would be fun to watch from this bucket.

She also danced for Gracin and was making him smile!
Despite his stuffy nose Gracin always finds time to be happy!

Play dress up! She came out of her room like this and said "mommy, I a princess!"Paint: She is using water colors all by herself! Of course after a few min all the paints looked like the same color... she is only 2 so i gave her a break. She was having so much fun.
Make a mess! Her room was very clean before nap time and it looked like this after nap time.... hmm I wonder if she slept at all?

Here is a little for Gracin: he wore a white shirt to church yesterday and looked rather handsome. And he has learned how to kick in the bathtub. I am always soaking wet after his bath time.

Yeah these ones are WAY better! And I didn't even plan it! She was a lot happier outside and more willing to pose for me when it was on rocks or by a strangers fence:)--let me know which one you like best! Thanks Rach for suggesting that, it helped.

It wasn't raining today, so I took the kids on a walk around our neighborhood pond, we had a ton of fun.

Rhylan's room

Well it finally feels like we have moved in!!
Both kids are sleeping in their own rooms in their own beds (Rhylan was sleeping in Gracin's room in the crib. Gracin was sleeping in Rhylan's room in the pack and play at night, and my room during nap time) We got Rhylan a twin mattress Monday and we are all a little bit more comfortable.

I finished her blanket over the weekend and it was ready for the big day (that took me over a year to make--yikes!)

Then today, we were making a craft. I was so frustrated trying to getting all her stuff back into the box. So I went to Goodwill and got some supplies to fix it. I have seen this idea several times and loved it so we went ahead and did it. You get glass jars and formula cans and fill then with your art supplies and then display them like they are art too! These shelves are a project that Riley is going to do with Rhylan when ever he gets a break from school! They will all be pink one day until then I couldn't wait.

One for Rhyaln

Well Gracin has been stealing the photo shoot spotlight lately so I decided to do one for Rhylan. I tried and tried 80 plus times to get a good photo of her. Getting a 2 and a half year old to do anything you want is TRICKY...no IMPOSSIBLE. I think I will have to try again, out side would be better if it ever stops raining this year!

As you can see she was being a great subject and very easy to please...

I would love a SLR camera! Then maybe I could take nice pictures of Rhylan...maybe not!

Canadian Thanksgiving

Here is an extra holiday we get to celebrate being a multi-nationality family!!! Over the weekend we celebrated Thanksgiving. Riley planned the meal and the company. We had a ton of great food and had some good times.

Hoodies

Well, we finally got the internet hooked up to our house...it only took 3 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!! So I have a ton to post and I plan on doing it in random order. Enjoy, as I unload over the next several days...weeks...

At our new house, our landlords left their bbq grill! We have loved using it, even the rain. Friday we went out in the sprinkle to cook some yummy kabobs. Riley noticed we were all wearing hoodies to keep dry, and so we had to take a couple pics.

Well the Dr. told me "look at him!! he is as big as a 4 month old!! He is getting WAY too many calories." I guess i need to work on that but i love his little rolls.
