Time to Exersauce
Rhylan grabbed one of my workout videos and said "I want to exersauce!" Then she said "Wait!!! I need my exersaucer shoes and exersaucer clothes!" She came out wearing these little tennis shoes and pjs. (If you don't know what an exersaucer is go here.) Here are a couple pictures of her exersaucing.

Rhylan?.... no Princess. Rhylan has been missing from our house for about a week now. A pretty little princess has taken her place. These shoes have not left her feet since we bought them about a week ago.

Valentines day
Riley and I got to go to the temple over the weekend to celebrate Valentines day. It was perfect. How much more romantic can you get? We were married in the Snowflake temple but we were dressed the same and the same spirit is here in the Memphis temple. We thought it was a perfect way to spend our time, especially since it has been a while! Then we spent the evening dancing in tutus! Well we watched a couple silly girls dance in tutus anyway. I thought I took a video of this but I guess it didn't save oops!

Riley knows me so well. These will last a lot longer that a bouquet of roses! I always ask for potted plants instead. (Check out the little bit of snow we got last night!)

Something for Gracin

So I was trying to think what I could sew for Gracin? I make so many cute things for Rhylan, there must be something I could make for a boy. Then I decided to make him a matching tie, out of left over material from her owl skirt!! I LOVE it. He might get a new tie every time she gets a new skirt. I really like it when they are brother/sister matching.

Snow day!!
Yep, Riley had a snow day, so we walked over to our neighborhood park to build a snowman with some friends in our ward. It was actually raining the entire time and Rhylan was soaking wet by the time we headed home. She found a place to stay dry:
I sure hope she doesn't get sick from doing this...

Gracin stayed nice and warm in his stroller.

Once they got it all stacked up the bottom ball broke!!! I caught it on camera. There were able to hold it together while he went through reconstructive surgery.
The girls built a snowman of their own. (he is not in the picture)
Here is Rhylan getting one of the snow balls ready.

New in town
Our new Joanne's store opened this weekend! I had to go check it out. I figured they would have grand opening sales or something. It was great. I just had to buy some material. So I decided to make another skirt. Rhylan found this owl print--remember she loves owls? So I had to find two more to match. I love the colors. I made this one a little poofier than the last. Man I love these I might just have to make one for myself.

Man I love these kids!
I was looking through my phone pictures and found these from a couple weeks ago. It was a warmer day so we headed to the back yard. Rhylan blew bubbles for Gracin to pop, I took them for rides in the wagon, and we played in the grass! They sure are fun to hang out with.
Look at Gracin's little face. This was his first ride in the wagon, man he LOVED it. He was just smiling and laughing the whole ride.
Notice Gracin's blurry hands... he was pulling up the grass as fast as he could.
I love those blue eyes! Man this is a good picture for a camera phone!! I heart you LG NV3
Oh and this is how I go shopping! I can push the stroller and Gracin still gets his bottle. You should see the people who pass us. Some of them laugh, but most think I am a genius. Thanks Rhylan, she loves to help.

Buddies
Rhylan, Jeffery, Koda , Owl, Black Face
Rhylan has four "buddies" she sleeps with every night. I think she would sleep with every stuffed animal she owned if I let her. But since there is a limit, she is very attached to these guys. She is aware when somebody is missing from the sleep over. We have started using them as rewards for good behavior during our bed time routine. One buddy for each activity. (Scriptures, story, family prayer and Rhylan's prayer). The first night she didn't get to sleep with Koda. She was pretty upset, ever since then bed time has gone much more smoothly!! Meet the buddies:
Jeffery: Her favorite right now. He is the oldest. She got him from the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake. It was her first trip to the zoo, and at 10 months old she was very interested in the giraffes. So her daddy bought her Jeffery, and he named him by the way after the toys r us guy. Yes lately he has been sporting some baby doll pj's. Once Gracin spit up on them and we had to wash them that day so he could sleep in them again.
Koda: Granny Sue worked at the coolest store in my hometown. It was a tourist store that sold "Wood-sy" type stuff. The "Burly Bear" had the coolest stuffed animals. So she got this special bear for Rhylan when we moved away. He is named after the little bear on the movie Brother Bear.
Owl: Rhylan met an owl in person at the Memphis Zoo last spring. We stayed there talking to the trainer, holding it, forever. Rhylan talked about owls for weeks and weeks after. They are still her favorite bird. Granny Sue found this great owl at the Burly bear again! She got it for her second birthday.
Black Face: During those potty training months, Rhylan earned a "big treat." Riley promised her she could get something at the consignment sale we were going to. This was his thing so I let him deal with it. I couldn't believe she picked a stuffed animal she has a TON!!!! But I guess it was love at first sight. Daddy let her sleep with the bear that night, and forever more he was known as one of the buddies. He recently got his name. I think maybe 4-5 days ago she just started calling him Black Face instead of "the black bear."
