Memorial day weekend part 1

Memorial day weekend we headed to Flagstaff for a fun vacation.  First stop was a arboretum.  They had beautiful scenery, flowers, ponds, trails, and a bird show (that we missed but we were still able to meet the stars)  I loved letting the kids explore nature.  I don't let them do that too much where we live (rattle snakes, scorpions, tarantulas, etc)  It was beautiful.

Funny story.  Hazel had been wondering with Riley close behind her.  At one point he let her get just a little bit ahead of him.  She stopped and squatted down to check something out.  Finally we sent Rhylan over there to get her.  When Rhylan got to Hazel she screamed and yelled "SNAKE!!!!" Riley ran over but by then the snake had hid.  Riley said "oh now I get why Hazel was pointing and saying ssss"  I guess she was trying to tell us about the snake she found and was checking out!!! Still not sure what kind of snake she was playing with!! Rhylan was pretty sure it wasn't a rattle snake, it was fairly small and pink/tan.
