fishing with papa

Yesterday we spent the day at Woodland lake. We had a picnic, played at the playground, did a little fishing, and I took Gracin's 9 month pics (coming soon!!) Rhylan loved going out on the boat with Papa. She actually caught a fish, she even touched it! I've never even done that:)

On Vacation

My dad and I went on a hike.

The kids and I are on vacation in Pinetop AZ. We drove to papa's house in a blizzard!! Yep, that's right, it snows in Arizona. We are having a great time visiting and giving Riley some good study time during finals week. I have been busy taking pictures, sewing, visiting, playing tea party, watching movies, hiking, getting a haircut, and playing outside (once all the snow melted). Here are just a couple pics...mostly for Riley so he won't miss us so bad!

Before, I said Gracin is difficult to take pictures of because when we are outside he is always:

Those are just some pictures to prove it!!!! Gracin please look at the camera! I am sure my neighbors think I am crazy. They can probably hear me making all sorts of weird noises with my mouth to get him to look my way. And I am sure they must know his name by now... I say it so much trying to gain his attention!

Looking out the window

We moved the computer desk out away from the front window a while back. These windows are now a great source of entertainment!! All 3 of them (Zelda included) will spend LOTS of time looking out. Gracin especially loves it. I have to pull up the blinds now whenever he is awake. Otherwise, he will crawl over and start yanking on them to get around and see.

This picture cracks me up!! She really wanted her picture taken while I was busy taking Gracin's pic. I then announced okay your turn Rhylan. This is how she posed herself!! Man she's getting good at this.

Wrapped up bye bye

Well I have decided to change my Wrapped up blog! It was used to sell thing but since I use etsy now.... well it is pretty useless! So it is now my public blog. This now makes it possible for me to enter the I heart faces challenges!! I entered this week for the first time HERE IS MY ENTRY

Gracin is almost 9 months

We will be out of town when Gracin turns 9 months old so I'm doing this a little early. I already took him to the Dr. He is 22 lb 4 oz, 28.5 in long... kind of short and fat... surprise surprise! This last month has been a crazy one for him.

Here are 9 little things he learned, tried, or does!
1. He learned how to get into a sitting position from being on his tummy.
2. He learned how to put himself up to a standing position. (he loves to stand by the window)
3. Just on Wednesday he finally stopped army crawling and picked up that big belly (one of the first times is pictures below)
4. Started crawling down the hallway in search of adventure.
5. Tried out a swimming pool and absolutely loved it. He cries when I take him out of our little pool in the back yard...CRIES!! He never cries:)
6. Was found standing in his crib.
7. Tried many new foods (pasta, cheese, french fry, pulled pork, ham, chicken, pizza, egg yolk, grass)
8. Went up a diaper size!! I never even bought this size for Rhylan:)
9. Will probably have at least one front tooth by the time he actually turns 9 months. (I can see the white part it right there!)

Louisa comes to play

The warm weather made me buy a little pool the other day!!! We thought it would make a fun play date. We invited our friends Caroline, Louisa, and Elisa. Rhylan and Louisa are only 3 weeks apart in age and get along so well. They loved splashing each other and running from the sprinkler together. It sure made a great afternoon. They were so funny. I hope nobody is sunburned too bad.

Dallas trip!

We had a short weekend trip to Dallas to visit Riley's family. We were able to also see his brother and meet his girlfriend. WE had so much fun!! We spent two nights playing guitar hero/ band hero, one of those:) I think we did pretty good for our first time. Of course it was set on EASY. We really like that. We also spent Saturday watching Markee (Riley's sister) at cheer practice. Afterward, the Gymnastic coach thought Rhylan was soo cute standing on the side lines that she came up to us and said "I want to play with her!!" She took Rhylan and let her try out all the stuff. (trampolines, balance beam, training mats, etc.) I have known for a while that Rhylan would do great in a gymnastic class. I think we will definitely let her do that when she gets a little older.

Rhylan and Gracin enjoyed all the attention from Papa, Grammy C, and Auntie Markee. Rhylan and Markee even had a sleep over in her room. Rhylan sure loves Auntie Markee and misses her a lot.

Spring Photo shoot

I was sad when I realized that Easter was on Conference weekend. (Because the kids couldn't wear the Easter outfits I got for them!!) So I took them outside and did a little photo shoot in their new Easter/spring clothes. Gracin is SO HARD to get a good picture of. He loves to be outside and just can't stop looking at everything, eating everything, and trying to grab everything. So here are the best individual shots, the shot of them together was in another post already !
