My best friend from high school was able to come up to Pinetop and visit with her little boy Luke. Zak got them both going on the drums. Notice Rhylan's excellent rhythm (tom, symbol, tom symbol, tom, symbol!)

Rhylan spent every min she could with her papa. She really had fun with him this trip. I think my dad had a little fun too. Just Kidding, he loved it. He sure is a great grandpa. There were a couple of times when Rhylan wouldn't let me do something for her she would say "no papa." And my dad would just smile and gladly help her.

The Eye Ball

On Saturday we got all dressed up and went on a fun date! We went out to eat with some of our friends and then we went to the Eye Ball put on by the school. Lets just say dances put on by our old school (BYU) were a little different. We usually could dance to the music and we usually didn't run into drunk classmates! It was an adventure but we had fun being together.

Well tonight is the Eye Ball (remember--optometry school). I am pretty excited to actually get dressed up for a fancy date! Riley and I go on dates of course but I never feel the need to wear a dress for the occasion, just my best jeans and fancy shirt. I didn't really have a cocktail dress to wear and so my friend Margaret let me raid her closet to find the perfect dress. But I still needed shoes to wear, so today we went out shopping and I found these cute shoes:

And then I got these for FREE! Lucky, when we got there, they announced over the intercom that the buy one get one free deal on clearance womens' dress shoes was only going on for 8 more min. Together the shoes would have been over $75 dollars but I got them both for $20.00.

Yesterday we were getting ready to put Rhylan to bed when we realized her diaper looked really saggy! We look off her onesie and this is how she was holding on to her diaper. She kept posing for the camera, I think she knew why we were laughing.

Duck?

Between when Rhylan wakes up from her nap and before Riley gets home from school, Rhylan and I get pretty board. Today I couldn't really think of anything to do so at about 4:00 we headed out for a drive. We went to the park in hopes of seeing ducks to feed fruit loops... no luck. They must have all gone MORE south for the winter... I thought we were south here in Mississippi. I guess not enough. But I was glad to get some fun pictures of her on the dock. She was so cute all she kept saying was duck? duck? She was pretty disappointed.

Rhylan really likes bath-time, but really hates her hair to be washed. It is pretty difficult to ever get the soap rinsed out. Lately she has been getting more brave and lays down in the water on her belly. I have tried to convince her to roll over (to get her hair wet) but she never falls for it!

Our Warm Christmas!

We headed to Riley's family's new house in Dallas TX for Christmas this year! It was a new place for us but all of Riley's family was there so we had a great time. Here is Rhylan and Riley Christmas morning (She wouldn't pose by herself in front of the tree)



Rhylan loved her new tea set. I think she got almost everyone in the house to play with it,with her.

After she opened this food, she didn't want to open anything else!

Here she is feeding her Elmos french fries!! She also got this little table and chairs which she LOVES.Later we took some family pictures.
The weather was so nice while we where there that we actually took the Dart train/trolly to the zoo. I wore T-shirt and jeans all day!
