Rhylan was excited to start swim lessons this time and had a great attitude. I was able to put both Rhylan and Gracin in the same class since they were both beginners. I am so proud of Rhylan she did everything the teacher asked, didn't cry and was so brave. She even put her head under the water to my great surprise!! She was amazing and even swam under water by herself to her teacher, and dove for rings while holding the teachers hand.
Gracin hung out here most of the time. He is much more timid about water lately, and refused to join in the class. He cried, he kicked and screamed, and he threw the boards. He was not happy about this at all. We've been trying to get him excited and trying to make it fun. But, once he found out he had to put his face under and he didn't get floaties he was done cooperating. Every time his teacher would ask him to come with her he would yell "NO I DON'T WANT TO!!!" It was really a bad day for him. I also bribed them before hand, with a slurpie reward if they didn't cry and obeyed. Yeah Gracin didn't get one. Then on the way home he threw up 3 times in the car and continued to throw up all evening. I wonder if he wasn't feeling well or if the anxiety of it all made him sick!

Sorry that the swim lessons weren't an automatic success for both kids...hope Gracin is feeling better and that the next lesson goes more smoothly for him :)
I can't help thinking thank goodness for no slurpie. What colorful vomit that would be
