This was my favorite picture of the day. (on the trolley)
Today we went to famous Peabody Hotel in down town Memphis to see the Peabody ducks. Now those of you who are from around here sorry, I have to explain this. Every day at 11:00 these 5 ducks come down from where they live on the roof somewhere. The duck master brings them down the elevator, they ride to the bottom floor, then they walk across the red carpet to the hotel fountain. Then at 5:00pm they walk the red carpet again to the elevator and go up to their home! I guess they are trained and are only on the job for 3 months before a new set of ducks takes their place.
They let the little kids sit right up next to the red carpet. Rhylan, as you could guess, loved watching the ducks walk right by her only inches from her fingers! Here are some pictures of the ducks and Rhylan checking them out!
Then we got on a trolley and rode around the downtown area and by the mighty Mississippi River. She loved that part too.
Today seemed like a great day to go to the zoo. I love having a membership because of days just like today. I didn't really think about it until 30 min before we left. We weren't really doing anything today and the weather seemed perfect. It's great to just decide to go to the zoo, pack a lunch, and go! As you can see another reason it was such a great day was because there was nobody there! This is a picture of the entrance...usually packed with people. So, Rhylan got to see all the animals up close and personal. And she could look at them as long as she wanted because there were no lines waiting for the good spot! She really liked the polar bear. He kept swimming right in front of her, she was pretty excited about it all. We even got to eat lunch with the elephants! We sat on a bench right in front of their cage and ate. Rhylan could go back and forth as she pleased. OH and we saw her favorite animal of all!!!! A DUCK! By the end of our outing Rhylan had gotten her two favorite wild animals at the zoo, the polar bear and the giraffe, figurines! Here is a video of the polar bear and later is a slide show of the animals we liked. I was able to get great picks because of the "crowd."
Today she tried to put on her pants several times. It took her about 30 min to finally get two legs in at the same time! This is about how far she could get them...they kept getting caught on her diaper in the back! But this is still pretty amazing backwards and all.
Last week we make some shakes with strawberry and mango! Rhylan loves to help so she was excited to add the fruit and was amazed when I started the blender!
I saw this on my cousin’s blog and was excited to have something new to post about, I know you are all getting sick of Rhylan J/K. But it is kind of nice for me to talk about something new. I love bragging about my husband. We will see when he gets home how right I was!

Rhylan is loving art time more and more every day. Today our activity was perfect for her. She did it all by herself and didn't want to be done. We even smelt and tasted the other half of the orange! She is pretty proud.
It is neat to live right next to a pond. We have seen so many different types of wild life because of it. Every time I look out my bedroom window I look for something moving out there. This week has been the bird week. Here are some ducks! This is a first. I have never seen ducks here, I hope they stay around. And this bird was here yesterday! If you know what it is let me know. He was huge. I have seen him (probably not the same one) three times this winter. He is blue and gray, it was pretty exciting to see a new bird. I am pretty sure Arizona doesn't have any of these. Flying away empty handed.
First: Make sure your apron is on! Then add the sauce. Next: Add cut up string cheese. Next: Add cut up ham lunch meat. After that put the pizzas on a pan. Now COOK, wow! Enjoy! Devour your yummy creation. Today I decided to have Rhylan help me make lunch. It worked very well, she really loves to have an excuse to wear her new apron (of course she can wear it without an excuse too--she wore it all day yesterday). I think she also likes to eat food she made. This worked nicely because they were only in the oven 8-10 min so she didn't forget about them. As you can see she ate almost the whole thing. Now that I know this works maybe I will try to sneak some puree veggies in the sauce or something!
Okay I am afraid of a fire alarm and Rhylan isn't afraid of geese as tall as she is, even when they are hissing and fighting.
Today we went on a family picnic. It seemed like such a nice day, however the wind made it freezing. We only stayed long enough to run out of bread and then we ran to the car.
