Sockies

We were out giving Riley some fresh air and exercise and ended up shoe shopping. Rhylan found this pack of socks in adult size and fell in love. Besides trying on every pair of shoes she could get to and rearranging their place on the shelves, she had been such a good girl. She also has grown out of most of her socks she has now. So I was able to find them in her size!! She didn't let them out of her sight the rest of the night, and had to put on the blue ones as soon as we got home. She was so happy! She calls them "my sockies."

Enjoying Gracin

Riley has been home this week recovering from a surgery. He hasn't been able to help much at all. But yesterday he was finally able to hold Gracin for a little bit. Gracin sure loves to sleep on Riley. It is pretty sweet. Here are a couple pictures of us enjoying our little baby!


Rhylan is using her princess camera to take a picture of daddy and Gracin just like mommy did.


We have had so much help lately from friends. Thank you to everyone who has been so nice to our family. We have had meals, babysitting, grocery shopping done for us, prescription run, took Rhylan to church, picked Riley up from the hospital, a blessing, and many many more offers to help and tons of phone calls. Riley is feeling better today, THANK YOU!

I have been trying to see the blessing in this trial...it took several days for me to find it. I had not even gotten used to taking care of two children when I had to take care of my husband as well (he couldn't do much for himself at all) But I think Heavenly Father was blessing me in a way. Once Riley is all better and goes back to work, two kids is going to seek like a cake walk!!!

Look-a-like

Okay, this video is our wedding video. The first two pictures of Riley as a baby, look a little like Gracin to me. I wanted to show you. But I couldn't figure out how to get just those 2 pics off the DVD so... here you have the entire video. Sorry, you don't have to watch the entire thing.

In fact it is pretty long but entertaining. In the middle somewhere you will see my crazy EAC days!! Yes that is me in a purple wig and yes that is me dressed up as a ninja turtle... you didn't know I had it in me did ya?

3 weeks already!

I can't believe it has been three weeks! So much has happened to our family lately it sure has gone by fast.

A little about Gracin:

Loves: baths, snuggle time, bouncy seat, being swaddled, looking out the window, laying on his tummy, looking at our faces, the big green binkies from the hospital, one kind of bottle, eating every 2 hours on the dot!

Dislikes: getting his diaper changed, changing clothes, tummy aches, burping, his car seat, the swing, being put down.
Rhylan sure loves him. She really wanted to hold him today, so I took some pictures of the two of them. Gracin likes to look at her face and she likes to sing to him.

Rhylan's First Haircut

Okay this was a while ago..like a week or so.

Rhylan didn't have much hair for the longest time. Once we moved here her hair just started growing! I can do almost anything with it. But I thought it was a little uneven and had crazy layers from growing out her whole life. So while my mom was here she gave her a haircut. I was glad I had my mom do it because it was not scary for Rhylan this way! You can't really even tell except the front. She cut it so that it wouldn't be in her face ALL DAY LONG--I am constantly saying "get your hair out of your eyes"--well not any more. Thanks mom.

More Bath time fun

I just thought this picture was cute. This is how Gracin decided to fall asleep this morning after his 5:00am feeding.
He loves to sleep in his bouncy seat. We were all able to take a 2 hour nap yesterday, him here, Me on the couch beside him and Rhylan in her crib...It was GREAT!!
I also was a little daring and decided they both need a bath...at the same time. Rhylan was really helpful and made sure Gracin's legs stayed wet, while I tried to figure out how to wash her with one hand on Gracin. It turns out I can't! So I took him out and wrapped him up in his towel and then washed her. We will have to wait for daddy to help us before we try that again.



Here they are in the towels I made for them. Rhylan has a couple and loves how warm they keep her!! Gracin also calms down right away when he gets wrapped up.

First bath

He actually really liked it! We were surprised because he hates his diaper to be changed!

Little boots

It has been so rainy here this last week. Rhylan thought it was a perfect time to wear her boots. My mom and I just thought she looked so cute in her dress and rain boots!

I know it seems like all we have been doing is taking pictures. But I really wanted to get some nice pictures while my mom was here to help. The self timer is just not going to work for us!! I hope you like our family pics. Let me know which one is best. The header is a new one too.

Rhylan lately

Rhylan has done surprisingly well with bay-brudder around. She acted up for the first 2-3 days or so but now she is that happy little girl we love.

She has been spending a lot of time with grandma.
A lot of time with daddy!

And getting more treats than usual.
We sure love this girl and we are so glad she likes being a BIG sister.
