County fair

Our county fair was in a SMALL town up the coast from us.  On our walk from the car to the fair we passed a telephone booth.  It was fully functional!  Haven't seen one of these for a while.
The fair was really small but my kids never notice things like that.  There was a bunch of exotic animals that we could watch... this tiger wasn't doing much.

But the baby lion was ADORABLE!!  He was growling at all of us.  We even got to seen him eat from a bottle.  The kids thought that was so funny, he ate just like Hazel.
Ok these are my favorite bushes.  They are growing in almost every yard but mine.  When we buy a house, I want these every where.  They are hydrangea, I can't decide what color I like the best.  I have seen this cool blue and purple, dark blue, dark purple, dark pink, light pink, and even lighter purple and blue.  Maybe I could have one of each!!

There wasn't a petting zoo section at this fair but that didn't stop us!  We went into the show animals section and pet all sorts of sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, and a donkey.

After that we let the kids ride a few rides.  Gracin loved this train ride.
This ride looked fun, these cars went up and down as they went around and around.  About halfway through, I noticed Gracin was starting to get a panicked look on his face.  He was starting to scrunch down in his seat.  Then the sweetest thing happened. Rhylan must have noticed too, because we saw her put her arms around him and hold him tight for the rest of the ride.  Isn't that precious?!  He held on to her too and they both came off with smiles!

What a fun event with kids to go to the fair. It is a great educational experience to see all the animals.
So glad the kids have a backyard again. Thanks for the pictures. mom

I can't believe how grown up your kids are getting. They look so mature! When does Rhylan start school? It's pretty soon, isn't it?
