CT scan

Gracin had a third febrile seizure in the beginning of December. I asked my pediatrician to refer us to a pediatric neurologist. I wanted to talk to someone who was a little more experienced with febrile seizures. He said 3 seizures in 3 months is not excessive, even below average. But he wanted to run a few test to make sure every thing is okay. I was happy with this. It is exactly what we were hoping for, someone to actually check him out and not blow it off. We went in to the hospital this morning for a CT scan. I was nervous because they were going to have to sedate him so he would hold still. I was scarred for that and prayed all week that everything would be okay. And this morning, the nurse offered to try it first without sedation. Riley helped hold him still and his head was in some sort of vice thing to help. It worked!! I was so relieved he didn't have to go under. The recovery would have been hard for him with the drugs, but he was able to go right away. We won't know the result until our Dr. appointment in Feb. (But everything seems fine!) Riley requested a copy of all the x-rays. He has a bachelors degree in neuroscience. There is no serious problems (tumor etc.) Here is one of the pictures of our brave little boy.
