It's begining to look a lot like Christmas

This is going to be our first Christmas at home! Riley wanted to decorate the outside of the house for Christmas. So he picked a few things to make it Merry and Bright. Then we put them up as a family Friday night. We have illuminated candy canes following the sidewalk to the door, snowflake lights and rainbow colored lights in our tree, and little lit penguins in our grass.

Then... remember how I broke the Christmas tree? Well Riley suggested getting a real one instead!! I was really excited. Growing up we usually had a real tree. I think it was kind of nice just heading to Home Depo to get a perfect tree, instead of tracking through the snow. However, those memories are amazing. It would just be a lot of work, and I don't think we have a place close to even do that, and also... no chain saw. Riley went and got it himself. It is perfect. It's so bushy, and full. AND IT SMELLS SO NICE. We may always do this and never get a fake tree replacement.--- I have the most amazing husband!!

Your tree is SO pretty! It will be fun to just be home for Christmas! It is so cool that you went out and picked your Christmas tree in the snow growing up! What neat memories!
